Buick Performance Club

The Michigan Buick Performance Club (aka Michigan Chapter of the Buick Gran Sport Club of America) is one of the first and largest chapters. Our members live all over the state of Michigan, but we also have members from many nearby states and Canada who join us in our events and activities.
Owning a Buick Gran Sport is not a requirement. Just maintaining our motto of "Going Fast with Class" is the only prerequisite. Our members own various kinds of Buicks, from antiques to modern day cars. The Buicks that most of our members have are the Gran Sports from the '60s and '70s and the Grand Nationals, T-types, and Turbo Regals of the '80s, with many owning at least one of each.
The Club has over 180 members and continues to grow. The yearly membership fee is $15 and includes a bi-monthly newsletter, called the MICHIGAN MINUTES. The club year runs from September 1 to August 31. Membership in the Gran Sport Club of America is recommended but is not mandatory. We have at least 4 Club Meetings per year.
The finale of each year is the Gran Sport Nationals will be held on May 13-18, 2008 in Bowling Green, KY at Beechbend Raceway Park. This event is attended by Buick nuts from all over the country and the world.
At the GS NATIONALS, you will see some of the fastest Buicks in the world, see the most Buick parts both new and used in the swap meet and see the most gorgeous cars in the car show on Friday. Time trials start on Tuesday and the action never quits until we leave to go home on Sunday, already talking about next year.
